Sujeonggwa, Korean traditional cinnamon punch
by KnowingKorea
Sujeonggwa is fragrant traditional drink, usually served after the meal. It is made by brewing cinnamon and ginger, then adding honey or brown sugar, cooling the drink, then adding dried persimmon. It has long been loved for its clear deep color and unique harmony of two different flavors. A favorite dessert drink in many Korean food restaurants, and a popular menu in traditional tea houses. Sujeonggwa is served cold, with pine nuts and dried jujube (Korean dates) slices carefully floated on the surface as garnish.
