Nickel silver is back

Kitchenware made of nickel silver had been vastly used in Korea until it was all replaced by stainless steel, ceramic, or heat-resistant glass. The long forgotten nickel silver pots are revived, however, thanks to the retro fad that began a few years ago. Some people believe that instant noodles taste best when cooked in a nickel silver pot, while others don’t care whether the pot is made of nickel silver or stainless steel. Despite doctors’ warning that heated nickel silver could effuse toxic substances, instant noodles cooked in nickel silver pots are constantly consumed.
