Mudeung-san national park recognized by UNESCO

by KnowingKorea

UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) has recently recognized Korea’s Mudeungsan National Park for its global value.

Covering more than 1,500 square kilometers, the park and its associated mountain boasts a number of amazing natural features such as the hexagonal shapes of the Jusangjeolli cliffs, and the peak of Seoseokdae reaching toward the heavens, alongside the Gwangju National Museum and temples around its base.

Mudeungsan joins Jeju Island and Cheongsong on Korea’s list of UNESCO-recognized sites.
